Update Product UPC

The purpose of this function is to update the UPC (Universal Product Code) of a product in the system and enable easy product identification during sales order processing.

Step 1: Accessing Cross-Reference Management

  • Navigate to the "Update Product UPC" page in File Maintenance.

Step 2: Selecting a Product

  • On the product UPC update page, you will see a list of products.

  • Locate the product for which you want to update the UPC.

  • Click on the product to select it.

Step 3: Updating the UPC

  • Once you scan the UPC or enter the product code, the current UPC and Linked product code will be displayed.

  • Enter the new UPC in the UPC field or enter the new product code in the product code field.

  • Click the "Save" or "Save for Second UOM" button to save the changes.

Step 4: Utilizing the Updated UPC during Sales Order Processing

  • During sales order processing, when you need to identify a product, simply scan the UPC using a barcode scanner.

  • The system will automatically recognize the scanned UPC and display the corresponding product code for easy identification.

  • This eliminates the need to manually type in the product code, saving time and reducing errors.
