New GL Journal Entry

Introduction: This instruction manual will guide you through the process of creating a new journal entry using our platform.

Step 1: Enter Account Information

  • In the "GL Acct" field, you have two options for searching for an account:

    • Type in the account number corresponding to the account.

    • Type in the account description.

  • Select the account from the drop-down list that appears.

Step 2: Enter Class Information

  • In the "Class" field, you have two options for searching for a class:

    • Type in the class number corresponding to the class.

    • Type in the class description.

  • Select the class from the drop-down list that appears.

Step 3: Enter Debit and Credit Amounts

  • In the "Debit" field, type in the amount of money you are transferring from the account into the corresponding box.

  • In the "Credit" field, type in the amount of money you are transferring into the account into the corresponding box.

Step 4: Save and Exit

  • After entering all the required data, click the "Save & Exit" button to save the new journal entry.
